Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will make movies for Netflix
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have signed a contract with the entertainment streaming media company Netflix. The contract is for several years. This is reported by the new York Times.
The couple, having given up their duties as members of the British Royal house and moved first to Canada and then to the United States, created a production company that will shoot documentaries and feature films, TV series and children’s programs. They will only be shown on Netflix.
Harry and Meghan said they intend to focus on “creating content that gives hope.” They also noted that ” it is also important for us as young parents to create inspiring family programs.”
The cost of the contract with Netflix is kept secret, but it is known that the negotiations that Harry and Meghan conducted with Disney and Apple, discussed the amount of about $ 100 million.
Earlier, in 2018, Barack and Michelle Obama signed a contract with Netflix to produce films.
